It’s a winter wonderland once again in Wakefield and the Gatineau Hills! Ski on our local hills (downhill) or in Gatineau Park (cross-country). Check out the village shops, restaurants and music spots with the Gatineau River and hills as a backdrop. Our famous Black Sheep Inn re-opens in January! Or perhaps you’d like to just relax with a glass of wine and enjoy the view from our beautiful porch – maybe in the hot tub! Wakefield and Les Trois Erables make for your perfect needed winter getaway!

Les Trois Érables was built by a prominent local doctor over 125 years ago with stately rooms and tranquil gardens. Wakefield is a special place and you will see why. A little bohemian, a lot artsy, surrounded by nature – it’s a riverside village tucked among lush hills that looks pretty much like it did a century ago. With several excellent restaurants and bars, culture and entertainment the envy of much larger centres and plenty of outdoor activities in the area – what’s not to like?
