Named for Moses Edey (ee-dee), the architect who designed Les Trois Érables (he also designed the Aberdeen Pavilion at Lansdowne Park in Ottawa). The Edey has a refined, feminine feel. Named for Dr Hans Stevenson, the original owner of Les Trois Érables. The recently renovated Stevenson is a large, airy room on the third floor with a tranquil, zen-like feel. It has a queen-size bed and an alcove with a trundle day-bed sofa to cozy up in (expands into a king-size bed when needed). The bathroom has a clawfoot tub with shower. The alcove window overlooks the gardens, while the main window looks up Burnside Ave – sit in the cushioned window sill with a book and revel in the view. $189, plus taxes. Named for Dr Harold Geggie, the “simple country doctor” who assumed the house and the medical practice from Dr Stevenson and lived in the house for fifty-five years. The Geggie is a large room on the third floor with high ceilings and the rustic feel of being surrounded by pine. Queen-size bed and a futon sofa (expands into a queen-size bed when needed). The bathroom has a clawfoot tub. You will not want to leave the comfortable wicker chairs in the alcove overlooking the Gatineau River. $189, plus taxes. Named for fur-trader Nicolas Gatineau and the historic river that flows just metres away. The Gatineau is our signature room, for guests who seek the best. King-size bed. Spacious and modern bathroom, naturally lit with an over-sized tub and separate modern shower with rain-style and body jet shower heads. Flat-screen television with full satellite channels. In summer, relax with a glass of wine or a coffee on your private balcony overlooking the gardens. In winter, warm yourself in front of the gas fireplace.
